I don't think I will ever get used to the specific, thousand percent serious and at the same time terribly awkward Russian pathos. Unfortunately, Iron & Blood: The Legend of Taras Bulba is full of it. An occasional interesting shot, or a very suggestive scene from the execution ground or a sympathetic actor in the lead role (sympathetic mainly thanks to Jaromír Meduna's dubbing) did not save it. Dying in the almost final battle, where every brave Cossack before dying obligatorily uttered something about the immortal Mother Russia, was probably the worst of all.
