When a baby bird leaves the nest, it is painful for its parents. That’s probably the idea behind this film, which combines François Ozon’s typical telling of an “everyday story” (with aptly portrayed key moments from a relationship) with an extremely outlandish idea of a winged baby flying around the living-room chandelier. The audience must be very open-minded to absorb this, but the ending throws them a lifeline. This film has one of the best posters I’ve ever seen :-)

The story itself is not bad. Ozon's Ricky is definitely worth noting. I just couldn't completely overlook the fact that from about halfway through the movie, it's essentially a load of nonsense. (60%)
