The Bashful Bachelor

In the second installment in the Lum 'N' Abner film series, the wacky duo devises a preposterous plot for Abner (Norris Goff) to impress an available middle-aged woman (ZaSu Pitts) by making Abner out to be a hero. Lum (Chester Lauck) reluctantly agrees to be saved in a series of staged accidents by Abner because Abner is still sore that he swapped their delivery car for a racehorse. But instead of getting himself out of hot water with Abner, Lum gets himself in deeper when he delivers Abner's marriage proposal to the wrong woman! The rest is silly mayhem as the pair scramble to undo the confused mess they've made. (Echo Bridge Entertainment)
