englanti This is one of those heavy Czechoslovak films from the 80s. The predominantly Slovak cast and crew is rounded out by Adamovská and Chýlková, but Hungarian actor György Cserhalmi (Mephisto, Hannusen, Zelary) also plays an interesting role. The strength of Trančík's film, starring the excellent Maroš Kramár, lies in its realistic portrayal of an unpleasant situation in which a young doctor loses his profession and seeks redemption for his transgression. The question remains open as to whether it is better to help one's neighbor or prioritize oneself. ()
