Kauhutrilleri matelijatutkija Amanda Hayesista (Crystal Allen), joka päättää ottaa oikeuden omiin käsiinsä saadessaan selville totuuden työnantajansa, miljonääri Murdochin (John Rhys-Davies) huippuvaarallisista eläinkokeista. Murdochin anakondakokeiden tarkoitus on kehittää lääke hänen parantumattomaksi diagnosoituun tautiinsa, ja testien sivutuotteena syntyy joukko tappavan vaarallisia matelevia petoja. A tad better than the third part with Hasselhoff, though not enough to make it a film worth watching for its quality, but unfortunately enough to sharply reduce the guilty pleasure potential. This time, the CGI anaconda really looks like a snake, if you use your imagination (success! :-D), but the Romanian forest remains unmistakable. Otherwise, it’s of course awful bullshit and it makes you really wonder how it is possible that such a bad franchise can have so many episodes.

The American-Romanian movie Anacondas: Trail of Blood is a sequel worthy of its predecessor. It is basically the same thing in that a rich man who wants to survive just as in the previous movie, plus it is the same rich man. Fortunately, the narrative concludes here, and we can be glad it is over because even as a B-movie, it is not very entertaining and the practical effects are crap. I know it is low budget, but it could have at least been funny.
