Why not... It's slightly better than average, although Midnight in St. Petersburg doesn't hold a candle to the other Harry Palmer films. The boredom that reigns unpleasantly in the film at times is especially disturbing in comparison to the previous film Bullet to Beijing, which it actually follows directly. And that's probably the main problem - Midnight in St. Petersburg felt to me like a kind of epilogue, a final chapter that just didn't fit in there last time. However, the film has its bright spots, Michael Caine is as charming and funny as ever (every breathless "Bloody hell!" is great), and Mr. Connery and Mr. Gambon also give decent performances. Unfortunately, the action was reduced at the expense of the spy spectacle, which was not quite successful. Three and a bit.
