Visually it's a treat, and the actors do their best. Anna Friel, Jakubisko’s Bathory, reigns supreme, never having to prove how high level her acting is, and can only be enjoyed to the fullest. In hindsight, the replay value is amazing, because while it's clear that the main story won't leave your brain, the details of each case will be something new each time.
