englanti A documentary founded on a perfectly chosen topic, the reminiscences of several generations and hours of painstaking work searching for material in archives. A look at the development of the Czech consumer society / lifestyle, since the end of World War II, during the totalitarian state and then after the Velvet Revolution. Rich in information and with a pleasant objectivity. You will have but good memories of this documentary... ()

englanti This is a a very valuable documentary, after watching it I’m even more amazed at the arrogant talk of some of my friends – rich people who repeatedly complain in the pub that the State has never helped them in their business and they had to work hard to earn everything themselves; and yet they have a Ferrari in their garage, which they've only taken out on the road once, and they go out for a beer exclusively on very expensive bicycles. I would have liked to see this pampered bunch in the 1960s, when there were queues for flour, people had to wade through layers of mud to get to the bus stop while enjoying the view of socialist hostels, and when someone wanted to quickly furnish their flat according to the latest fashions available, they came up with something between the Flinstones' abode and Arthur Weasley's Muggle workshop.... Don't take me literally, the documentary emanates a lot of warm nostalgia, but damn, let's be a little glad for the way we can live now. ()
