Ayme Pigrenet’s wife has just died and he feels overwhelmed by the amount of work he is going to have to do on his own. Very quickly he realizes that he can’t make it so he must find another woman. As this is difficult in the small town where he lives, he decides to hire a wedding agency. Unlike the other clients, he is not looking for a soul mate; he only wants a strong woman who will help him with his farm. The agency manager suggests he go to Rumania where the women are willing to do anything to relieve their misery. In Rumania Ayme meets Elena, who will change his life.
