Demeter Játékos lives at a colourful ranch far from the world, along with his wife and co-debtor, the well-known painter and photographer Bori. They share the house with Demeter's younger brother, who adores him like a saint. Their feelings, their thoughts are pronounced by their vividly painted animals, by the horse, the donkey, the pig, the cock, the buffalo and the chickens. Demeter is in a crisis both as an artist and as a spouse. Unexpectedly Krisztián takes his love, the beautiful, delicate and elegant Tamara to them. Demeter revives. He thinks Tamara has fallen in love with him, and he does not leave her alone until the girl runs away. Krisztián leaves for a one-year stay abroad. It holds true that Tamara loves none but him.
