Julius Caesarin päätöksellä olympialaisten voittaja saa vaimokseen prinsessa Irinan. (Sandrew Metronome Fin.)

englanti I don’t know what it was, but I did have a good time. It's goofy and, unlike the first two episodes, it's dedicated exclusively to younger viewers, but the film moves at a relatively fast pace, the filmmakers spare no ideas and the likable actors do their best. I also like to see parodies of sports in every comedy, and that's included here from top to bottom and in the silliest of ways. The humour is not as good as in previous episodes and there are a few embarrassing moments, but the treacherous Brutus (excellently dubbed by Josef Carda) trying to assassinate Caesar, Michael Schumacher as a horse-drawn carriage racer and the fastest man in the Roman Empire were worth it and together with other hilarious jokes kept the quality at an acceptable level. englanti This is seriously gross. I grew up reading Asterix books, but this movie has nothing to do with the original, just the title, vaguely the plot and a couple of jokes that fell flat in this movie anyhow. Neither Depardieu nor Delon have any role to play and the new casting of Asterix himself is the peak of desperation. So why did I give it one star? Well, I was pleased to see Schumacher’s cameo. ()

englanti This amounts to something like how the French dragged Asterix, their national treasure, through a cesspool. This hogwash only has the plot and some of the characters in common with the original comics. Some of the gags are quite funny, but Delon's "Ave Já" isn’t funny even the first time. The first film is good and the second is worse, but it is also funnier. The third film is embarrassing and sad. ()

englanti True, Asterix at the Olympic Games adapts the classic 1968 comic album of the same name only very loosely, but it's still worth a watch. This theme hasn’t yet been among animated films, so this is new to Asterix films in general. The replacement for Christian Clavier may not be great, but after all, we have Delon, Schumacher, or Vanessa Hessler, so there is no shortage of pop culture references. A problem may only arise if you absolutely don't like Benoît Poelvoorde's humor. But nothing can be done about it because his character Brutus draws all the attention to himself. ()

englanti By Caesar! Throw Fréderic Forestier to the lions!!. What a sad rape of a brilliant comic book. Only a few funny fragments were taken out of it, the rest was filled with humour on the level of the lamest TV shows. The previous film adaptation wasn't great either, but at least it compensated by sticking to its source; this one was all over the place! René Goscinny must be turning in his grave. ()
