When his former girlfriend leaves for New York City to live with her new boyfriend, Syd (Chris Evans) decides to rudely interrupt her leaving party by turning up with a small mountain of cocaine and his drug dealer in tow. Most of the movie takes place in the bathroom at the party--where Syd entertains the guests and shares his drug stash with them. (jakelijan virallinen teksti)

englanti For a film with this theme to work, it must feature charismatic characters and talented actors, and the script must contain exceptional dialogues. Unfortunately, none of these crucial requirements are met - the characters are completely flat, Jessica Biel was, is, and most likely will remain just a physical decoration in films and is not capable of any significant acting performance, and the dialogues are mostly empty chatter about nothing - sorry, I mean about parties and who is with whom. It must be admitted that charming young people of both sexes appear in the film and on the other hand, the film is not completely pointless. Overall impression: 40%. If these are the lifestyles and problems of average young Americans, then they truly deserve an economic crisis and it should last a very long time - until they grow up. And that will be a difficult journey... In some moments, the film is very superficial - it's a bit of a mystery where the characters get money for their lifestyle, when for example, a bar waitress snorts long lines of cocaine, which certainly is not a cheap drug even in America... englanti I watched this movie mainly for the original cast (Jessica Biel, Jason Statham, Isla Fisher). The script is a bit "wild", the atmosphere is quite confused. Actually, all the noodling around about nothing didn’t really appeal to me...I should promise myself I won't watch movies like this again! ()

englanti The presence of Jessica Biel and Chris Evans in demanding character-driven roles is quite questionable, but they actually handled them quite well. Unfortunately, they somehow remained in the shadow of the excellent Jason Statham, who once again shows doses of incredible charisma, and his colorful depiction of a visit to a sadomasochistic salon or a "lecture" on male erections are gems that call for a real actor, which Jason undoubtedly is. Unfortunately, debut director Hunter Harris has treated the whole affair as a purely highbrow affair (the luxury apartments, expensive clothes, lots of alcohol and high quality cocaine), which gives the film a somewhat snobbish feel and in many ways makes it seem like an unnecessary pose. It is as if the story of the end of a great love affair (full of sex, parties, pseudo-sophisticated debates and subsequent quarrels) doesn't even belong there, and assuming that nothing is actually resolved and the ending is up to standards, it is more or less a (non)bland romance. englanti I rarely resist pieces that reek of how much the author needs to express themselves out of their personal emotional bankruptcies, and given that Hunter Richards hasn't made any feature films since his directorial debut, I think this is a success and he is better off. There is a decent pile of truths hidden here, whether the inability to control one's own temperament and insecurity during an argument with a loved one, or the changing perspective on relationships and emotions with age. The fact that Chris Evans and Jason Statham dispense appropriate wisdom helps in every situation, but it lacks depth and credibility. Placing most of the screenplay on the floors of a nice apartment floor is original, but unutilized, and I especially can't understand why the main characters have to consume so much cocaine that not only would their heads explode, but maybe everything else too. Nevertheless, London (except for London itself) is actually terribly likable to me with the unstoppable force of Syd's determination and unpredictability, not knowing what mood the next scene will want to play out. englanti Miss London is quite a crazy girl. However, Jason Statham and his toupee, which I thought was a wig the whole movie, balances the craziness in a very solid way. But as a small-scale film, London is a decent experience. I, however, won’t watch it again unless to prove other Jason Statham fans that he’s not always been bald in movies… ()
