In a refugee camp on the outskirts Calcutta in the late 1950s, Nita (Supriya Choudhury) works diligently to support her parents and siblings, who have been forced to move from East Pakistan following Partition. Nita is willing to sacrifice everything for her family: her happiness, her education, her money and her health.
