An enjoyable Bollywood thriller starring an all-star team. Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar (still a very popular couple that had been on the rise at the time) are young lovers in this film, naturally adorable in every shot. Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor grace us with their presence (and notable overacting) as the two original mafia bosses. The two are bonded by their love for Mallika Sherawat, but she is only faking it because there is another über macho - Feroz Khan - on the scene. To make matters worse, there’s also a full film crew with a hysterical director and the protagonist's extended family. Unsurprisingly, everything is connected to everything else, and it's easy to come across scenes from the filming of the latest western as well as an absurd chase that seems to have come straight out of The Gold Rush, which happens to take place in a rickety house over a precipice. For fans of the Akshay/Katrina pairing this film is a must, for everyone else it’s a passable, relaxing Bollywood film with some interesting ideas and tasty musical numbers. (01.10.2012)
