Coming of Age Adventure based on Ann Brashares' best-selling novel about a special 16th summer in the lives of four lifelong friends who are separated for the first time. On a shopping trip, the girls find a pair of thrift-shop jeans that fits each of them perfectly and they decide to use these "magic" pants as a way of keeping in touch over the months ahead, each girl wearing the jeans for a week to see what luck they bring her before sending them on to the next. An enjoyable teen movie that also has one shining star... Blake Lively. Yet again, I couldn't get enough of her. Her role fit her to a tee. I was also pleased with the beautiful love story set in an even more beautiful Santorini. But I was most moved by the story of Tibby and little Bailey (great actress!!!). Carmen, on the other hand, did not captivate me in any way. If I had seen this movie 5 years ago, my rating would probably be one star higher. Now I’m giving it 3 stars.
