Kun joulu seuraavan kerran tulla tupsahtaa, värikkäistä lahjapaketeista saattaa löytyä murhaavia teräaseita, pommeja ja keskiaikaisia kidutusvälineitä! Vanha kunnon Joulupukki on mennyt raiteiltaan pahan kerran – tai näin sitä pakostakin luulisi. Harva tietää, että tuo ikivanha olento on itse asiassa demoni, joka on joutunut esittämään "kilttiä" tuhannen vuoden ajan hävittyään taivaallisen vedonlyönnin. Lahjojen jakaminen syö miestä – ja demonipukkia. Kun tuhatvuotinen joulukakku viimein on kärsitty, pirullinen pukki ottaa vahingon takaisin korkojen kanssa. (Nordisk Film Fin.)

If you want to see a movie that will spoil your mood with its childishness, this is the one. If you like half-dressed dudes in tight red costumes beating everyone around, yes, you're on the right track there too. If you like awfully smart guys who have trouble in the field of love, in the question of "to believe in Santa or not?", you've found the movie for you. Luckily a crazy old man's a sure thing! Poor Claire...

An incredible romp that is only watchable thanks to the brutal Santa Bill Goldberg. He wreaks death and destruction with such panache and fearlessness that even Arnold in his prime would have quickly run away before him. Unfortunately, the stupid story gets in the way of Santa, and the screenwriter turned an otherwise crazy morbid comedy into an insane mess with unlikeable main characters that only slow down the pace. Besides, the film is neither brutal enough as horror nor funny and imaginative enough as a pure parody. Just another one of the many films that promised to be quite entertaining, but somehow got stuck half way. For me 2 1/2*.

The film "Devilish Santa" delivers what it promises - an average horror comedy, where there isn't that much horror although some gore does appear, even though it definitely isn't a massacre. There are elements that are really entertaining, a mythology that is quite well thought out, so I enjoyed the film. It's a shame that there wasn't a bit more humor and that it didn't blow me away.
