A massive disappointment. I love Scandinavia and the reviews on this made me enthusiastic about this movie. After watching it, I am not so positive anymore. The only plus of the movie itself is Michael Nyqvist, who maintans a more or less interesting role for the whole movie. It starts right at the beginning, where after moving to Sweden I expected some proper emotional ride. But what happened instead? It began like a Swedish soap opera with people with whom I wouldn’t even go for a pint of beer into some godforgotten Swedish pub. Approaching the finale I realized I do not care at all what is going to happen with the choir. Only the ending convinced me that this film was really made in Scandinavia. Otherwise I would think it was just stupid.
