englanti The inspiration from Hitchcock's Psycho is completely evident, but superficial. I admit that, enticed by the high ratings, I expected something more exciting. Renč doesn't know how to properly build up tension and Jiří Dvořák, although only slightly, clearly and unnecessarily exaggerates his psychopath character. The police act and look just as foolish as in reality. The script reveals the secret too early and the final twist is predictable. The film's strength lies in Tatiana Vilhelmová's performance and of course, the setting of the gothic castle, which could have been utilized even better. All in all, it's a slightly above-average TV episode. Overall impression: 60%. In this case, I can't resist making a comment about the praise for director Filip Renč from other commentators. Renč has proven with his previous work that he is a decent craftsman, well-suited for producing music videos and commercials, and I don't expect any failure from him in the field of feature films. On the other hand, he hasn't yet made a film that I could truly call good and great - and I don't think he will surprise me with that in the future either.... ()
