Manav, the young and brilliant son of on NRI businessmen. He comes to Chamba, Himachal Pradesh and finds himself totally bewitched by the beauty of Mansi Ashwarya Rai, a gifted folk singer and dancer of Chamba. Manav and Mansi fall in love and commit themselves to eachother. But when Mansi and her highly respected folk singer / father Tarababu visit Manav's family in Mumbai, they are insulted and humiliated. Disillusioned Mansi takes a vow that she will make something of herself in Manav's world of ruthless materialism.
