The Seal

A man talks about life in a repressive society in this satirical critique of power and bureaucracy. The concept of a seal acts as a leitmotiv for the narrator's milestones in life (birth, marriage, death). The film is one of Makavejev's earlier works (it was made in 1955), but its story and message nevertheless remain timeless. (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival)
