After blossoming into an internet phenomenon, the animated show HAPPY TREE FRIENDS was commissioned as a full series on G4 in 2006. The show follows the exploits of some cute animal characters with equally cute names such as Lumpy, Sniffles, and Toothy. Their adventures begin in an innocuous fashion, and initially appear to be very kid-friendly. But HAPPY TREE FRIENDS is definitely not for children, as each tale descends into brutal and bloody violence, with dismembered limbs and a gleeful orgy of mindless violence littering the screen.
