Women of Iran

Women of Iran is a feature documentary that intricately weaves the turbulent history of Iran through the lived experiences and poignant personal stories of Iranian women, both inside the country and across the diaspora. It aims to capture the Iranian women's long and hard struggle for their rights and freedom, culminating in the pivotal events of September 2022 with the Woman, Life, Freedom movement and its aftermath. Using interviews with prominent Iranian women , it provides an intimate portrait of these historic struggles, milestones and setback, casting an emotionally resonant portrait of Iran's ever-shifting social and political landscape, a testament to the indomitable spirit of women, who continue to shape Iran’s complex tapestry in face of unthinkable adversaries.
