The Courier

In my streak of unfortunate random Netflix picks, I stumbled upon this wannabe stylish Spanish drama about a small-time crook who thought he was a financial genius laundering money, only to end up with nothing. The film desperately tries to be the Spanish version of The Wolf of Wall Street, but the creators just don't have what it takes — be it in the screenplay, editing, or direction. The only intriguing aspect is the occasional insights into the Spanish economy that the film throws in. (31.05.2024)
