When I come across a movie tagged with Comedy/Romance/Sci-Fi with a rating just above the halfway mark, I typically don't set my expectations too high. And good thing I didn't in this case. Yet, surprisingly, I found myself rather enjoying it. While it was no masterpiece, it served as a relaxing watch. I won't claim it had me on the edge of my seat, but the creators did manage to coax more than a few smiles from me, putting me in a good mood. Not to mention that the Americans finally built a functional wall and the Mexicans found their promised land – so there was something in it for everyone, except for the occasional problem with power outage. Sure, it bordered on absurdity, but it kept me entertained without any preachy political correctness shoved in my face. So, after this somewhat unconventional ride, I settled on a four-star rating (albeit on the weaker side). / Lesson learned: Never use non-functioning wood when starting a fire. 4*- (01.01.2024)
