Pirouette

This film takes place in a small French town in the thirties and is about two friends. Their series of adventures is recalled by Panier. Peluque is an empty-pocketed philosopher and at the same time a determined dowry-hunter. He is engaged to two girls simultaneously, but he carefully avoids his former love, Pomponette, for the sake of Lucie (or, more precisely, for the sake of the father-in law thought to be rich). By the time it turns out that Lucie is also waiting for an eligible husband, even Pomponette leaves him.
