Getting Any? is a crazy vulgar comedy about what animals we intelligent mammals really are. From funny gags through forceful unfunny “humor” (yakuza) to the grandiosely deviant climax parodying The Fly, King Kong and Japanese monster movies, Kitano’s imagination knows no bounds as he combines incompatible topics in such a way that the ending turns out to be a resounding satirical criticism of society.
