After the blockbuster "God of Gamblers", director Wong Jing successfully plays the magic of gamble-comedy again to the moviegoers. the story is about after becoming Gold of Gamblers' disciple, Little Knife is back to the business again and meets Sing, who claims himself the "Saint of gamblers". The two of them befriend finally and compete with their rival for maintaining their master's reputation. Following the style and vigor of "God of Gamblers", this movie is added with more slapstick laughs which provide the audience a more humorous scenario with more sophisticated gambling techniques. Regardless of the continuity of the movies, I didn't like the film "Dou hap" as much as "God of Gamblers", possibly because Stephen Chow didn't entertain me as much as Chow Yun-Fat. It's still entertaining, it's occasionally quite action-packed, and at times even a bit rough, but this cocktail just didn't taste as good to me.
