The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes kertoo tarinan nuoresta Coriolanuksesta (Tom Blyth), joka on ennen niin mahtavan Snow-suvun viimeinen toivo. Koko suku on menettänyt suosionsa sodan jälkeisessä Capitolissa ja Snow’n toimeentulo on vaarassa. Vastoin hänen tahtoaan hänet määrätään köyhtyneen Vyöhyke 12:sta tribuutin, Lucy Gray Bairdin (Rachel Zegler), ohjaajaksi. Kun Lucy Grayn viehätysvoima lumoaa Panemin, näkee Snow mahdollisuuden muuttaa heidän kummankin kohtaloa.
