Hugo and Bobo

One of the best films of the trio of Miloš Macourek, Jaroslav Doubrava, and Adolf Born tells the story of friendship between a dog and his owner, a poor beggar. The dog selflessly supports his master and after helping him gain wealth, he is mercilessly pushed away by his owner. However, the master pays harshly for his betrayal... Overall impression: a short, brilliantly drawn, and humorously concluded instructive story 90%. (02.01.2009)
