Finally released from an institution after suffering a nervous breakdown, Jessica (Zohra Lampert) seeks the tranquility of a secluded home in Connecticut to help make her recovery complete. But instead of a restful recuperation with her husband Duncan (Barton Heyman) and close friend (Kevin O'Connor) in the New England countryside, Jessica soon finds herself falling into a swirling vortex of madness and the supernatural. And an even more unsettling discovery is that the entire region seems to be under the influence of a mysterious woman the trio finds living in the supposedly empty house. Jessica's fear and dread only intensify when she discovers that the "undead" girl, Emily, tragically drowned long ago, on her wedding day. Is she back to take vengeance... and scare Jessica to death? englanti When some users say that a film is boring, experience tells me that it’s quite likely that I will get bored too (at least when it comes to older horror). Surprisingly, that didn’t apply this time because, even though this film has a murderously slow pace, the stoned performance of Ms Lampert never stopped being fun. It’s not a great film by any means (I would say it’s not even horror, actually), but it has a fairly original atmosphere and you won’t spoil anything if you dedicate an hour and a half to it. ()

englanti If it weren’t for the evidently tripping Zohra Lambert and her, probably intentionally, spaced out performance, there wouldn’t be much to criticize here. You can even get used to the bizarre music that actually suits this movie almost unexpectedly well. Although Jessica’s rather unfortunate summer seems to have a sensible running time, thanks to its sluggishness you get the feeling that it was in fact a good three hours long. But that’s not a bad thing. It’s definitely worth seeing, because it’s pretty rare you get the chance to experience such an excellently created atmosphere of uncertainty about whether the reality is “like this or like that" (I’m trying not to give anything away). In fact, it’s almost never. ()
