Girlfriends

When Marta, a young photographer, is fired from the exclusive magazine she works for in Barcelona, her world falls apart. Desperate, she suddenly finds herself in the position of having to return to Cornellà, her childhood neighbourhood... and to her parents’ house. There, she rediscovers the life she left behind: her family, neighbours and her lifelong friends. Despite her initial joy, however, she soon feels that she no longer belongs there; this will cause enormous tension separating her from her friends and the people who love her, bringing her face to face with her worst fears and insecurities.
