Alberto Morais (1976, Valladolid, Spain) studied at several places in Spain, among others scriptwriting, film history, direction and camera. He has produced and directed two shorts and the documentary Un Lugar En El Cine (2007) about the artistic and social heritage of Neorealism, that proved a lasting inspiration to film makers to make their own socially committed cinema. His feature debut Las Olas earned the Golden George of 33 MIFF as well as FIPRESCI award and Silver George for Carlos Álvarez-Nóvoa for his part.
