With a BA in Critical Studies, an MFA in Film/Television Production from The USC School of Cinematic Arts, Petridis started his career interning at United Artists and as a USC editing instructor. He soon transitioned into the International marketplace, acquiring Theatrical, TV, Video and New Media content as the Director Of Acquisitions for Middle Eastern distributor Prime Pictures.
His thesis film, HOW HENRI CAME TO STAY, won the Audience Award at the Beijing International Film Festival and aired on the Fine Cut Film Festival. In the music video world, Elia's efforts for hit European artist Jesca Hoop, including THE KINGDOM, CITY BIRD and HOSPITAL are major online successes in addition to the television play they garner the UK.
Petridis is represented by GOTHAM GROUP MANAGEMENT and continues his work as a writer and director with his sights on a book adaptation as his next feature project.
