Born on August, 7, 1955. Graduated from the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State university, studied at the workshop Tengiz Abuladze. Heads a directing workshop at the Tbilisi State University since 1996. In 1987, she wrote the screenplay for the film Repentance, which won three prizes at the Cannes IFF, including the Grand Jury Prize. In 2000, she founded together with actress Nana Huskivadze the production studio N&N. Nana Dzhanalidze is also head of the Georgian National film Center, art director of the film project TBC BANK 20/12 (12 films by young filmmakers).
