Biografia
Jason Banker is an independent filmmaker living in New York City, specializing in micro-budget film production with his own company, Blackout Films.
His directorial debut was 2012's TOAD ROAD, which blends documentary and fictional elements to tap into the horrors of self-destruction. The film took home the "Best Director" and "Best Actor" awards at the Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal. FELT (2014) continues his unique docu-horror style of filmmaking by focusing on the psychological fallout from sexual trauma. The film was inspired by artist Amy Everson's life and work.
Banker has shot and directed two documentaries: MY NAME IS FAITH (2012), the story of a girl trying to overcome attachment disorder, which won the "Audience Award" at Slamdance, and SQUATTER, which explores the day-to-day struggle of being homeless in New York City.
