István Sinkó

Biografia

Teacher, artist, art columnist. From 1975 he was a teacher at a primary school and a secondary school, for 12 years he taught at Secondary School of Arts and Crafts, also functioning as the chairman of the department of painting. He is a professor of museum pedagogy at ELTE and a mentoring professor at MOME. He has had 40 solo exhibition in Hungary and abroad (Germany, USA, Canada, Belgium).

His artworks can be found in major Hungarian public and private collections. His art critiques are published regularly in Hungarian magazines (Új Muvészet, Muérto, Élet és Irodalom). He publishes articles and essays in several professional journals. He has published 2 books and 5 essays on art pedagogy. In the 1990s, for Hungarian Television he wrote, edited and anchored art shows for children (Múzeumosdi, Játéka, Rajzolni jó!) in collaboration with artists György Szemadám, András Szunyoghy and István Kalmár.
