Sebastián Muñoz

Biografia

Sebastián Muñoz holds a degree from the Arcis University Film School in Santiago de Chile. He has participated as an art director in the most outstanding films of today’s Chilean freshly unwrapped cinema, such as Play, Turistas and Il Futuro by Alicia Scherson, Ilusiones ópticas, by Cristián Jiménez, Los debutantes, 199 recetas para ser feliz and Un caballo llamado Elefante, by Andrés Waissbluth, and Chile puede, by Ricardo Larraín, among others. In 1996 he directed his first short film, La felicidad, followed by La buena suerte in 1998. El Príncipe (The Prince), his first feature film, based on a novel by Mario Cruz, was selected for Films in Progress at the San Sebastian Festival in 2018 and premiered in the Settimana della Critica at the Venice Festival.
