Mauricio Osaki started his career directing short films and working in features as assistant editor and post producer for directors like Walter Salles and Marcelo Gomes. He completed his MFA in Filmmaking at NYU Tisch, presenting the film project The Paths of My Father. While at Tisch, he directed the award-winning My Father's Truck (2013) which premiered in the 63rd Berlinale Festival, was screened in more than 100 international festivals, and was short-listed for an Oscar. His projects have been selected for Berlinale Talents and Biennale College Venice, among others. Os Caminhos do Meu Pai is his first feature film as a director.
