Biografia

His work investigates the relationship between mythology, history and materialism. His first feature film, They Carry Death (2021), premiered at the Venice and San Sebastian festivals, winning awards at both. Subsequently, it screened at international festivals such as Rotterdam, Cairo, Mar del Plata, Viennale, Hamburg and Sao Paulo. His previous short films have been shown at festivals such as Toronto, Locarno, New York, Ann Arbor and many others. He has made installations and performances in art centres like CCCB (Barcelona), BAM (New York), TEA (Tenerife) or Solar (Vila do Conde). He co-wrote the screenplay for White on White, directed by Théo Court, award winner at the Venice International Film Festival, and was Chile’s submission for the Oscars. He edited the short film We All Love the Seashore, directed by Keina Espiñeira, an award winner at the Rotterdam International Film Festival and nominated for the European Film Awards. He teaches at the ECAM (Madrid), EQZE (San Sebastián) and IFIC (Tenerife).
