Marianna Economou

Marianna Economou is a documentary film maker/producer based in Athens, Greece. After her studies in Anthropology (UCL) and Photojournalism (LCP) she worked for a few years as a film researcher and photographer in Greece and England. Since 1989, she directs and produces independent documentaries and TV documentary series with a focus on social issues and human stories. Her films have been screened in Greek TV, ARTE, YLE, BBC. They have also participated in many international festivals and she has received awards. She is a founding member of Doc3 productions.
