David Dunlap has been the cinematographer of WT²'s The Calcium Kid, directed by Alex De Rakoff, and Bob Gosse's Julie Johnson. He will next shoot Michael Hoffman's Game 6, from an original screenplay by Don DeLillo.
David was the second unit director of photography on Sydney Pollack's upcoming The Interpreter (also for Working Title); Roger Michell's Changing Lanes; Ron Howard's A Beautiful Mind and Ransom; John Singelton's Shaft; Wolfgang Petersen's Air Force One and Outbreak; and Robert Zemeckis' Forrest Gump, among other films.
He has also been the camera operator on such films as Wes Anderson's The Royal Tenenbaums; James L. Brooks' I'll Do Anything and Broadcast News; Martin Scorsese's The Age Of Innocence and Goodfellas; Francis Ford Coppola's Bram Stoker's Dracula; Frank Oz' What About Bob?; Mike Nichols' Postcards from the Edge and Working Girl; and Steve Kloves' The Fabulous Baker Boys. The latter features were all photographed by David's mentor, cinematographer Michael Ballhaus.
David graduated from the Philadelphia College of Art (now the University of the Arts) with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Film. He then began his cinematography career in New York City, working as a focus puller on such features as Martin Scorsese's After Hours and Joel and Ethan Coen's Raising Arizona.
