Chris Modoono is a writer and director based out of New York City. He is best known as the writer and director of the comedic short film Teacher of the Year, which co-starred Rachel Dratch and Gil Zabarsky. The short premiered at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival and online with Funny or Die. In 2014, Fox Digital Studio hired Modoono to turn Teacher of the Year into a full-length feature film under the new title, Tenured. The film debuted at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival.
Chris also teaches screen acting at New York University with Stonestreet Studios. Stonestreet is a unique independent film studio that produces features, pilots, and short form content in concert with its Conservatory program for NYU Tisch. At a towering 6 feet 5 inches, Chris is not only one of the most promising young directors out there but he is also among the tallest. He possesses the unique competitive advantage of being able to spot colleagues in a crowded area quickly.
