For over ten years Louis-Julien Petit worked as an assistant director on more than thirty French and international feature films. During this time he also directed five short films, all warmly received at various festivals. He is an avid supporter of social cinema depicting modern societal struggles. In 2015 Petit directed his feature debut Discount, and then Carole Matthieu in 2016. His third feature, The Invisible, will be shot in winter of 2018 and highlights the plight of social workers fighting for homeless women.
