Crappy and amateur; watching this just makes me angry about them canceling Universe. But the idea with the Nazis isn’t at all bad. This stumbled over the miserable acting, bad screenplay and cheap production.

I liked the idea with the destruction of mankind. The mother seemed especially empathetic and had exemplary skills as a caregiver. The middle of the film drags a little, Swank is terribly unpleasant and her daughter often behaves illogically, but it picks up again in the last half-hour. The effects look pretty good too. Textbook Asimov served up in a rather weak form.

A weaker Big Hero 6 with a very nice line about the importance of memory. The visuals are great and the only major flaw is the logical lapses in the behaviour of some of the characters.

A racist African-American picture based on an incredible true story. Although Spike Lee slightly bungled the dramaturgy and reveals details that are unnecessary for the plot, it’s bearable. The acting performances are excellent, especially Driver as the cop who risks his neck and the great young Washington, who knows how to come across as polite and pissed off all at once.

An artsy retro sci-fi with fantastic visuals and captivating music. Each episode is good in a different way, even though they all set out on a similar mystery tour. The loose ends are the most annoying thing here. And the imbalance of the storylines of this otherwise well-made project trip it up a little.

A sort of Renegade for the new millennium. The B-grade plot is improved by excellent physical action and interestingly dealt cards. Some things seem rather farfetched, but thanks to the excellent acting, it’s bearable. Starr is amazing.

A brutal satire that suffers slightly from being too long. Cohen thought up several fictional characters for the individual problems that he wanted to focus on and the more successful ones logically appear more than once, which is a bit of a shame. Of course, some scenes are absolute genius (the mosque!). My girlfriend kept asking me incredulously if it wasn’t all staged, if these people are really such idiots. I think it was Dick Cheney signing his autograph on the waterboarding kit that finally convinced her.

A classic western opening using Fett as a lure. Favreau succeeded in increasing the budget and makes a bow to Dune. There are more special effects and they a done better. It doesn’t move forward much in terms of story, but horizons broaden nicely. Baby Yoda in the urinal is just great.

The Fifth Element for kids. This quite well-made sequel reinforces the mythology and has lots of surprises in store that will absolutely thrill girls. And the moment when Anna sacrifices the city for a higher purpose is pretty shocking. Some songs are a little poor and a little less room is given to Kristoff would have been welcome. Olaf is the best, of course.

It would have been better without Kolečko. Apart from the attractive scenes connected with the ballgame (cut to a minimum), this has nothing to offer. Langmajer is completely wrong for this film and the fact that he has nothing special to offer in terms of acting makes that even more obvious. As is the habit in Czech films, the characters are just dumb and behave irrationally simply for the purpose of creating supposedly funny situations.
