Alphonse Brown, secret son of James Brown, has been friends with Scotch since childhood. They live in Le Havre, making a living from seedy scams and deals until the day Alphonse gets himself arrested. After a year in prison, he reunites with Scotch and freedom, determined to leave the troubles of the past behind him and launch a music career in his father's footsteps. On the night after his release, Alphonse and Scotch's lives change radically when they find an old trunk filled with a mysterious substance in an abandoned bunker.
