I wouldn't say that this is one of those failed Anne Rice adaptations, which is how it is commonly judged. :) Of course, the case surrounding Interview with the Vampire and the Queen of the Damned is a complicated one, and this is once more a different case. However, I think Showtime cable television handled the subject very well. And they also gave one of the more interesting opportunities to Jennifer Beals.
