“It all started with me questioning the air that entered my body”, says Marta, a fictional character created by filmmaker Leonor Noivo and her actress friend Patrícia Guerreiro. This air becomes visible and can almost even be touched in this tender exorcism of intimate memories and the scars which remain inside a body. This body is confronted with anorexia. The creation of Marta helps Noivo and Guerreiro to capture the fleeting ambivalences within a troubled mind. In being what they are, in being the other, both find ways to speak about fear, desire, and an invisible strength that leads back into the world. (Viennale)
