The Dawn

The American production The Dawn is an example of how many horror movies, and I am not just talking about the low-budget movies, but also bigger budget and mainstream movies, come across as somewhat impotent. There is nothing to excite the movie’s makers themselves, let alone something that can excite the viewer. It is clear that the movie’s makers here have some basic understanding of making a horror movie and how to build an atmosphere. However, even so, they fail to create a complex and terrifying movie as a whole. (20.03.2020)
