Award winning photo journalist, Kadir van Lohuizen wants to affect the news. With his photos he brings the world the human stories after the big news corporations have left, stories of people and populations forced to flee their homes and make new beginnings. His photo's travel all over the world. But, times are changing for photojournalists. Governments and businesses increasingly influence the media, and newspapers deal with shrinking budgets and commercialize their choice. Moving Stills follows Kadir as he realizes two of his large projects against the backdrop of the new trends in media. (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam)
