A young gangster, Yeongjun, is ordered by his boss to kill an old man who has betrayed their syndicate. The dying man tells Yeongjun of his wish to send his daughter, Eunju, to Hong Kong. Feeling guilty about the murder, Yeongjun becomes disillusioned by the mob, and when a few gang members raid an armored car, he goes for the money for himself. As an act of penitence, he also vows to protect Eunju. Investigating the gang is detective Sangdo, who tracks down Yeongjun. During the Korean War, Yeongjun just happened to save Sangdo's life, but even this deed won't be able to save the Yeongjun from the long arm of the law. The Cash Is Mine is a masterpiece of the Korean gangster genre. (Busan International Film Festival)
